Urban sketching workshop in Morocco. These are 8 days stays in different places of Morocco. The goal is to visit the place and learn how to sketch live there.
How is the urban sketching workshop organized?
These workshops are ALL INCLUDED. Except the plane.
All you have to do is reserve the plane to the starting point (Marrakesh, Tangiers…). There will be a minivan that will pick up the guests. From that moment to the check out all the riads, restaurants and daytrips will be organized by this moroccan travel agency. They have more than 10 years of experience in such trips.
One we make the checkin at the selected riad, we start the sketching adventure!
Everyday, after a delicious breakfast, we have a 15 minutes class wjhere I explain the basis of the exercise we will be doing that day. And then we go out in the streets to start sketching.
If you are too shy and afraid of being at the street sketching, doing it in group is a good way to start.
Which are the workshops for this yesr 2025?
Urba sketching workshop in Essaouira
In february we did a first workshop in Essaouira. We had excellent weather and enjoyed very much this cozy moroccan village. Essaouira is a beautiful coastal city in Morocco, known for its rich history and vibrant culture. Located on the Atlantic coast, Essaouira is famous for its medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its cobblestone streets, lined with whitewashed houses and colorful doors, create a charming atmosphere.
The city is also known for its fishing port, where fishermen bring in their daily catch, and for its delicious fresh seafood. Furthermore, Essaouira is an ideal spot for water sports enthusiasts, such as windsurfing and kitesurfing, thanks to its constant winds.
Essaouira’s atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making it a perfect destination for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of big cities. It is also famous for its music festival, the Gnaoua Festival, which attracts artists and visitors from around the world.
In short, Essaouira is a magical place that combines history, culture, and natural beauty—definitely worth a visit!

Skoura, Ait Ben Haddou, Ouarzazate, kasbahs
In this workshop we will arrive to Marrakesh. Then take a private minibus to cross the Atlas Mountains. We will arrive to the famous kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. And from there we will visit Ouarzazate, Skoura, the Valley of Roses, Dades Gorges and many small kasbahs in the oasis near the Sahara desert. From there we will return to Marrakesh again.

Will there be more urban sketching workshop in Morocco in 2026?
Yes, I plan to do at least 3 workshops there in 2026: Essaouira, Tangiers. And maybe a special workshop in the Atlas mountains, living with the bereber to know their folklore, cuisine, kasbahs…
